Apply clinical evidence to support service development/ improvement activities within the CDS.
Provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced Social Workers and support discipline-specific and child development education and training activities.About The TeamThe Child Development Service teams provide a family-centred, specialist public health service for children who have complex developmental and behavioural concerns.
The teams provide multidisciplinary clinical services and consultancy/advice to support a comprehensive understanding of the child's developmental profile and how this relates to their functioning and participation in everyday life.About The RoleDelivering Social Work and specialist child development clinical services as evidenced by high-level knowledge, clinical skills and expertise in complex contemporary child development clinical practice standards with minimal direct clinical practice supervision.Applying independent professional judgement and problem-solving skills to a complex caseload adapting routine clinical practice using valid and reliable evidence to inform service delivery across the continuum of care.Working collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary child development team to empower families to understand their child and optimise their health and wellbeing by supporting their participation and engagement in the activities of their everyday life.Communicating appropriately and effectively with children and their families' using strengths based and family-centred principles of care to build family capacity to actively manage current and future health care needsDemonstrating high-level oral and written communication skills to work effectively with children, parents/carers, multi-disciplinary team members, other health professionals and agencies (including demonstrated ability to produce a range of fit for purpose written reports, medical records, education and professional documents).
