**About the opportunity**
As the **Manager, Pathways and Participation**you will lead the delivery of wraparound support for strategic student cohorts including the _MySydney Scholarship Program _and the _Women in STEM Program _. This role is pivotal in ensuring a seamless student journey by collaborating with university-wide teams and managing governance processes.
You will also oversee the recruitment and onboarding of student leaders and facilitate codesign with students to ensure programs are responsive, inclusive and student centred, aligned with the University's strategic goals.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work in a collaborative and cohesive team environment reporting in the Head of Student Life
- design and deliver student life programs for strategic cohorts including the MySydney Scholarship Program and Women in STEM Program with a focus on the student lifecycle, communications, events, and tailored support
- build partnerships across the University to manage governance, facilitate codesign, and align programs with student needs and institutional priorities
- lead student leadership initiatives including recruitment, onboarding, and collaboration with student groups to enhance engagement and awareness
- oversee core operations including triage, risk management, reporting, and continuous improvement to ensure a smooth and student-centred experience
**About you**
- experience working in a student-facing role within the higher education sector
- demonstrated people management experience with the ability to develop and mentor junior team members
- previous experience providing financial oversight and managing budgets on multi-disciplinary projects
- project management experience across cross-functional project teams
- a strong understanding of the needs of diverse cohorts and the differing needs of students as they pass through different stages of the student life cycle
- ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
- governance experience with knowledge of university landscapes and policies and procedures.
