About the Opportunity
Are you a skilled compliance and risk professional looking to contribute to the integrity and continuous improvement of a large regional health network? The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) seeks a detail-focused and strategic Senior Risk and Compliance Officer to join its Strategy & Governance team. In this role, you will support the LHN's commitment to high-quality risk management and compliance, ensuring internal practices align with policy, legislation, and community expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the maintenance and improvement of risk management frameworks, including risk registers.
2. Provide guidance on legislative and policy compliance across various areas such as procurement, privacy, partnerships, payroll, and emergency response.
3. Lead risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
4. Prepare reports and briefings for governance committees.
5. Deliver risk management training to staff.
6. Promote a culture of risk awareness and compliance.
About You
You're a confident communicator and analytical thinker, capable of working independently and collaboratively. You bring:
* Experience in risk, compliance, governance, or assurance in complex organizations.
* Knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000 Risk Management principles.
* Ability to draft reports, policies, and correspondence.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and risk management systems.
* Interpersonal skills to influence and advise stakeholders.
* Strong organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable qualifications include management, public administration, audit, risk, finance, or related fields. Experience in developing risk or compliance systems is also preferred.
