Job Title: Emergency Medicine - Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer
Remuneration: Up to $587,432 p.a.
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time and/or Permanent Part-Time
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a fast‐paced emergency department in a renowned regional hospital. This facility is a 200+ bed hospital offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including acute and critical care, surgical services, intensive care, maternity, and rehabilitation.
The emergency department is equipped with state‐of‐the‐art facilities and provides high‐quality care to a diverse patient population in a vibrant and growing community.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a diverse range of cases, including 25% paediatrics and a significant trauma caseload
* Provide expert clinical services within the Clinical Services Capability Framework and clinical privileges granted
* Assist satellite hospitals and rural sites through Telehealth and in‐person support
* Contribute to innovative pre‐hospital care models, including HITH and GEDI programs
* Engage in the development of a new Emergency Department
* Enjoy flexible and equitable rostering that balances service needs with academic priorities
* Potential involvement in the Regional Aeromedical Retrieval Service
* Participate in a successful postgraduate education and training program, including ACEM fellowship and diploma training
* Provide clinical supervision and training for junior medical staff, medical students, and other health professionals

Requirements
* Specialist qualifications in Emergency Medicine (FACEM or equivalent)
