STEPS Group Australia is on the lookout for a vibrant, motivated, and people-focused Student Support Facilitator to join our Get Set for Work program in Hervey Bay.
The Get Set for Work program is a dynamic initiative under the Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) strategy, designed to help young people aged 15-19 who are disengaged from school or employment transition successfully into the workforce or further education.
This is your chance to be part of something meaningful - helping young people build confidence, gain skills, and take their next steps into employment or further education.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Supporting young people aged 15-19 to overcome barriers and achieve their goals
* Provide one on one support and mentoring
* Assisting with resume writing, job applications, interview prep, and life skills
* Building strong relationships with local employers and community services
* Celebrating wins - big and small - with your participants
What You'll Bring:
* A genuine passion for youth development and community impact
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate and inspire others
* Experience in employment services, youth work, or training (highly regarded)
* Open Driver Licence and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

* Contract through to 11/09/2026
* Permanent part-time - 20 hours/week
* Monday to Thursday 9am - 2pm (enjoy your Fridays off)
