Cooinda Lodge Kakadu is a unique resort nestled in the heart of Kakadu National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. Under an Accor hotel management agreement in partnership with the Djigardaba Enterprise Aboriginal Corporation, it offers guests a gateway to explore the UNESCO World Heritage‑listed park. Responsibilities
- Transport guests safely between Cooinda Lodge and Yellow Water Cruises (3 trips per day)
- Conduct pre‑trip safety checks and basic maintenance on vehicles
- Assist guests with boarding, luggage and special requirements
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation
- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures
- Support daily tour operations, including preparing boats, vehicles and equipment
- Welcome and assist guests during boarding and transfers
- Assist with guest manifests, logistics and tour documentation
- Participate in cultural and tourism training to build guiding skills
- Work alongside Indigenous cultural ambassadors to support cultural engagement
- Promote park experiences and lodge activities to guests
Qualifications
- Valid Light Rigid (LR) Licence
- 1–2 years of experience in guest‑facing roles, tour operations or transport
- Robust focus on safety, reliability and customer service
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work in an outdoor, tourism‑focused environment
Desirable
- Knowledge of Kakadu National Park
- Basic First Aid certification
- Interest in environmental and cultural tourism
