We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager to join our team and lead the day‑to‑day operations of our signature restaurant.
In collaboration with our Culinary Director, Massimo Mele, you will bring to life a vision that celebrates contemporary Italian cuisine while showcasing Tasmania's finest seasonal produce - delivered in a welcoming, relaxed, and beautifully crafted dining environment.
As a key leader within the hotel's Food & Beverage team, you will be the guardian of our standards, ensuring your team is supported, well‑trained, and empowered to deliver exceptional guest experience at every service. Your commitment to excellence, leadership presence, and passion for hospitality will help shape the continued success of Peppina.
Managing Day-to-Day operations
* Accountable for all day-to-day operations
* Ensure guest experience is at the highest level at all times
* Identifies the development needs of others and coaches, mentors, or otherwise helps associates
* Accountable for rostering levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
* Contribute to the development and implementation of The Tasman's strategies for the department.
* Create an environment for associates that is aligned with The Tasman's culture, modelling professional behaviors standard.
* Lead, influence, and encourage others; advocate sound business decision making; demonstrating honesty and integrity
* Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
About You
* Passion for the industry and strong customer focus and proven ability to deliver personalized and customer-centric solutions
* A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar leadership position working in a premium venue.
* Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA -Tasmania)
* High energy, agile and proven record driving results
* Strong leader with proven success building effective teams and empowering people to reach their full potential
* Impeccable attention to detail, professional presentation, organizational skills and commercial acumen
* Knowledge of local and international wines, spirits, and beers
* Flexible, reliable and punctual with the ability to work late nights and on weekends
* Strong commercial acumen and proven ability managing budgets and P&L
* A good understanding of employment and work, health and safety practices
* Able to demonstrate the capacity to perform the inherent requirements of the role
