Multiquip Poultry a national company dedicated to servicing the poultry industry in Australia. We manage all aspects of transporting live birds from growing farms to processing plants, including the movement of eggs, fully grown birds, feed and grain.
We are looking for a HC Driver to take the lead and be a Supervisor of our HC Tug Drivers team.
Shift start time is 9:00am and will be for approx 10 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Available to work Monday to Friday with flexible start times, including occasional weekend shifts if required.
* Provide relief coverage during staff absences such as annual or sick leave and assist when operationally required.
* Primarily based at an offsite processing facility. Commence shift and finish shift at Murrarie depot.
* Safely transport full trailers from the weighbridge to the holding area under the canopy.
* Move empty, cleaned trailers from the wash bay to the designated holding area.
* Comply with all Work Health & Safety (WHS) policies and procedures, including adherence to marked "no-go" zones.
* Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
* Operate vehicles safely in accordance with WHS regulations.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate trailer movements clearly with the team.
About You:
* Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
* Experience using logbooks or Electronic Work Diaries (EWD).
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar driving role.
* Confident operating heavy vehicles, including reversing into loading docks.
* Flexible and available for weekday shifts and occasional backloads.
* Able to provide a recent driving history.
* Knowledge of fatigue management and basic mass management principles.
* A strong team player who also works well independently.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working without supervision.
Requirements:
* Valid HC Licence
* Tug driving experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
* Proficient in hooking and unhooking trailers
