Cyber Security Engineer Position

This role is part of a high-profile project delivering national science and security priorities. The selected candidate will be working closely with government clients and industry partners to ensure the resilience and compliance of Defence-grade systems.
* Responsible for designing and implementing cyber controls aligned to ISM, IRAP, PSPF, and ASD Essential Eight frameworks.
* Collaborate with engineers, architects, and governance leads to develop secure digital platforms.
* Manage risk assessments, compliance reporting, and accreditation support to ensure seamless system integration.
Key requirements include:
* Proven experience working in Defence, DFAT, DSTG, or other protected/classified environments.
* Strong understanding of IRAP, ISM, PSPF, and ASD cyber uplift frameworks.
* Ability to assess and implement cyber controls across hybrid systems (on-prem + cloud).
Successful candidates should have hands-on experience with security tooling, produce high-quality cyber documentation, and possess certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor.
The ideal candidate will have prior involvement in IRAP assessments or developing accreditation documentation and be familiar with secure systems supporting AI/ML, simulation, and scientific data workflows.
