The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Electrical Technicians to work as part of the maintenance team working alongside Automation Engineers, Fitters and Operators where you have the opportunity to be permanently part of a skilled and dedicated maintenance team on a fixed shift and also on a rotating shift basis.
Working on breakdowns, preventative maintenance and planned maintenance shutdowns as well as reliability and safety issues in a timely and effective manner to minimize downtime and achieve successful operational outcomes.
As a strong team player, the Electrical Technician will assist operationally with a continuous improvement approach.
Shift Pattern
Will discuss Fixed day shift as well as Rotating shifts.
Role and responsibilities
Working as part of the maintenance team, you are a key player carrying out fault finding of Automated Production Plant and Equipment, Preventative Maintenance and Process Improvement.
Working with a high level of automation in the production process there will be technical and diagnostic skills required including fault finding of electrical circuits, programming PLCs, VSDs, VFDs and HMI / Scada
Safety is at the forefront of everything you do, and you will be familiar with working to SWMS and signed off Work Permits.
You will demonstrate and promote safe work practices and assist with other duties ensuring the effective operation and close collaboration within the maintenance team.
The Successful Candidates
Will be trade qualified and Licensed.
Able to demonstrate previous Industrial Manufacturing experienced, an FMCG background would be advantageous but not essential.
Sound knowledge of Scada systems and PLC's (Fault finding and Programming), Variable speed drives, Variable Frequency drives, and Human Machine Interface (HMI)
Positive verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding and familiar with OHS&E; and development of work methods and work permits.
A real team player, willing and able to collaborate with the maintenance team and enjoy making your positive contribution to successful operational outcomes and minimizing production downtime.
