Our organization is seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team in the Morphett Vale area.
This role involves providing domestic assistance, shopping, transportation, personal care, respite, and social support to elderly clients in their homes.
The successful candidate will be trained on-the-job and complete a Certificate III in Individual Support during paid work time.
Key Responsibilities
* Domestic Assistance: Vacuuming, mopping, changing sheets, surface cleaning of living areas.
* Shopping: Completing weekly/fortnightly shopping for the client.
* Transportation: Taking clients to and from appointments in the community.
* Personal Care: Showering, dressing, grooming.
* Respite and Social Support: Ability to listen, build a rapport, and work with a range of clients and other staff.
Requirements
* Attitude: A great attitude towards working with elderly clients.
* Reliability: Reliable and clear communication skills are essential.
* Availability: The ability to work regular hours and have a reliable vehicle.
* Qualifications: A willingness to learn and gain a Certificate III in Individual Support.
* Background Checks: Ability to pass a National Police Check and hold a current SA Driver's license.
* Citizenship: Hold full Australian Working Rights and be an AU/NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident.
* Fitness: Be fit and healthy, able to complete a variety of tasks, and pass a fitness/health assessment.
* Patient Focus: Desire to care for and help the elderly.
