Responsibilities
- As a “A Class Electrician” (Trade) you will work in our distribution board assembly environment including assembly, wiring and testing of modular power distribution boards, control panels, junction boxes and similar items.
- You will assist with supervision of apprentice electricians and panel technicians, helping them develop their skills.
- Manage small to large projects through the production process, ensuring efficiency and attention to detail for the finished product.
- Participate in workspace maintenance and upkeep.
- As a “Panel Technician” (Trade Assistant) you will assist Leading Hands and Electricians in manufacturing distribution boards and control assemblies, including machine operation, equipment fit out, wiring harness manufacture, cleaning and packing.
Qualifications
- A Class Electrical License
- Able to interpret and understand power and control circuits and follow wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Work to schedules and deadlines with high accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrated experience in control wiring.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically the manufacture of electrical equipment, is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously as required.
- Understands the importance of quality and avoidance of rework.
- Positive can do a0attitude & reliable with excellent work ethic.
- A commitment to safe work practices.
- Must be polite, courteous and respectful of others and comply with all APS Policies.
- Candidates with leadership qualities or leadership aspirations are encouraged to apply.
- Competent in the use of various hand tools including battery operated hand tools, torque wrenches, and other typical tools used in assembly work.
- Able to interpret general arrangement drawings used in the assembly of Distribution Boards.
Availability
- Schedule: Full Time & Casual Positions on offer: Monday – Friday + Overtime
- Locations: Based near Adelaide, Clarence Gardens facility.
