About the Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities To optimise the Fund's tax position within the terms of its tax risk framework for the benefit of members. To support the timely meeting of the Australian and international tax compliance obligations of the fund and its special purpose vehicles. Supporting the implementation and maintenance of internal tax policies, reporting controls and procedures. Be part of the team promoting awareness internally of tax updates, rulings, developments applicable to the Fund and ensuring implications for the Fund are understood by the business. Play a key role in tax due diligence for domestic and international unlisted investments and in restructures and termination of investments. Provide timely tax advice to the business in relation to tax developments impacting investments, fund matters and members. Assist the GM Tax Reporting and Strategy supporting the Board and Board Committees. Act as subject matter expert to the business to support projects as required. Ensure tax governance is embedded in the Fund and is appropriate for the Fund's tax risk appetite. Qualifications About You: Qualifications CA or CPA qualified. Master of Tax or Chartered Tax Advisor preferred. Required experience, understanding or credentials including : Demonstrated experience in financial services, a professional services firm or superannuation fund. Proven organisational and time management skills. Commercial acumen to effectively identify and act on opportunities. Highly developed Excel skills an advantage. High level research and analytical skills. Excellent verbal, written and numerical skills. Ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment. Experience with tax effect accounting an advantage. Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and interpersonal skills.
