About the Group
This group specialize in commercial new build and complex fit-out/refurbishment projects up to $50 mil. They have strong relationships in the education, aviation and government sector and been delivering projects in these sectors for over 15 years. They are looking for a Design Manager that can work on multiple projects during the pre-construction and construction delivery phase.
Responsibilities
* Act as the link between architects, engineers, consultants, and construction teams.
* Ensure design intent aligns with project scope, budget, and timeline.
* Facilitate design reviews, approvals, and value engineering.
* Manage regulatory compliance, including Australian Standards, and local council requirements.
* Coordinate and manage design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support tendering and procurement by reviewing design elements.
* Work with the construction team to resolve design issues on-site.
Your background
* Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant discipline, such as construction management, architecture, design.
* Will look at candidates straight out of an Architect/Drafting
* Experience working on complex and challenging projects
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong project management and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong experience using REVIT
