Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Investigator, Group Investigations
What's the role?
You'll lead end‑to‑end investigations into serious misconduct and whistleblower disclosures across the Westpac Group, applying procedural fairness, sound judgement and discretion at every step. You'll plan and scope cases, gather and analyse evidence, conduct interviews, and produce clear, defensible findings whilst always maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and governance.
This is a permanent opportunity based in Sydney or Melbourne, operating in a hybrid model with 3 days in the office. You will partner with stakeholders across the Group, record matters in case management systems with precision, and ensure all quality assurance and reporting requirements are met. If you're motivated by risk reduction, integrity, and excellent stakeholder outcomes, you'll thrive in this role.
What do I need?
You'll bring a disciplined investigations mindset, strong communication, and the ability to operate autonomously while building trust with stakeholders. To succeed, you'll need:
* Demonstrated experience leading sensitive or high‑risk workplace investigations, including whistleblower matters.
* Proven capability in interviewing, evidence collection and analysis, and producing clear, defensible reports.
* Strong working knowledge of compliance and risk frameworks, and familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g. Evidence Act, whistleblowing and anti‑discrimination laws).
* Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft 365, exposure to tools like Analyst's Notebook is a plus.
* Excellent judgement, planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the business.
