We work with medical specialists who offer their services as an independent medical examiner/expert witness. We assist them in any aspect of their medico-legal practice, whether they work alone or through an established provider. We also work with select providers in the industry.We are also involved in industry education and training.Our mission is to contribute to positive change in the medico-legal industry, by promoting ethical practices, high quality medicolegal services, reporting and education, with an authentic and collaborative approach.Role TypeInitially casual with a view to become permanent for the right applicant.PurposeThe Medicolegal Reports Administrator (MRA) is an integral part of the foundation of PIRKS, working in the Quality Assurance Team, being responsible for all tracking and processing as well as undertaking quality assurance (proofreading and editing) of the medicolegal reports. In addition to proofreading and editing the reports, the MRA provides assistance to the PIRKS team with administration-based tasks within the business as required.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIncluding but not limited to:Quality AssurancePreparing report templates including reviewing and incorporating already typed dictation into the template to create an IME report.Quality assurance of reports in line with legislation, company procedure and client requirements/ preferences.There are range of specialties we service – in particular psychiatric and orthopaedic reports. Psychiatric reports may have confronting content.Finalisation of reports and convert to PDF, sending to client.Communicating and liaising with clients to problem solve and foster a great working relationship.Tracking all reports as per company procedure.Admin TasksProcessing emails in the shared inbox ensuring all incoming communication is processed and responded to in a timely manner.Using client interfaces to upload and download documentation.Assisting with the development of processes to ensure efficient and time saving techniques are utilised across the business.Assisting with the development of procedure manuals across the business – producing step by step guides for basic administrative tasks and beyond, to facilitate easy induction of new staff.RequirementsTraining is on the job, but background knowledge is essential for a quick start.
