About the role
We are seeking a proactive, hands‐on Procurement Manager to move beyond transactional purchasing and architect a modern, strategic procurement framework. Reporting to the General Manager & CFO, you will be the commercial engine of our operations, driving value across major civil and commercial plumbing projects.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Develop and execute multi‐year purchasing strategies for key categories (Civil, Hydraulic) to align with long‐term business growth.
Commercial Governance: Lead the evolution of our procurement and inventory policies, ensuring uncompromising ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
Digital Transformation: Act as the internal champion for our ERP and procurement software, automating manual workflows to achieve 100% spend visibility and data accuracy.
High‐Stakes Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations for project-specific pricing, group‐wide rebates, and favourable delivery terms.
Risk & Supply Chain Resilience: Proactively identify and mitigate global supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity despite market fluctuations.
Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate with Project Managers to provide "subject matter expert" guidance on procurement systems, driving internal adoption of best practices.
Skills and Experience
Industry Expertise: Minimum 5 years in a procurement leadership role within the Construction, Civil, or Engineering sectors.
Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to shift a function from "order taking" to "strategic value adding".
Analytical Power: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with modern ERP/Procurement software.
Communication
Exceptional ability to build "mateship"—strong, trust‐based relationships—with both internal teams and a diverse supplier base.
Qualifications
Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or professional accreditation (e.g., MCIPS) is highly regarded.
Location
Must be able to work from our Orange Office 5 days per week.
