About The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled registered nurse to join our Aged Care team. Selectability, a reputable aged care provider supporting the Lower Gulf of North Queensland, is expanding its services to the community of Aurukun, located in the Cape York Peninsula.
Role Details
As the registered nurse, you will play a vital role in the lives of older persons by providing quality, responsive, and compassionate care. You will work closely with the Regional Manager Aurukun, aged care workers, and support staff to deliver person-centered care tailored to individual needs.
If you are an experienced and compassionate registered nurse seeking a new challenge, FIFO work could be ideal. We offer a 6-week onsite, 2-week offsite roster with known leave dates for better planning. We prioritize fatigue management to ensure adequate rest. We provide above award rates, along with travel, accommodation, and meals, removing logistical concerns. Working in regional and remote First Nations communities offers a unique cultural experience and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality care.
About You
To be considered, you should have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to follow directions, and work collaboratively within a team.

* Confident and professional communication skills
* Exceptional time management and attention to detail
* Ability to adhere to policies and procedures at all times
* Sensitivity and adaptability to diverse personalities, cultural backgrounds, and personal circumstances of older persons
* A positive attitude
Additional Requirements:
* APRA registration to practice as a registered nurse in Australia
* Previous aged care experience (highly desirable)
* Experience working in remote areas (desirable)
* NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or ability to obtain
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
* Current P1 "C" class Queensland driver's license
* Current flu vaccination (recommended)
* COVID vaccination (recommended)
* First aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain
* Access to a major airport in Cairns, Townsville, or Brisbane
