The Role
We're seeking a proactive and adaptable Project Officer to join #TeamDecon in Scoresby, VIC.
This hybrid role acts as a crucial link between planning, execution and profitability across our telecommunications projects. You'll assist in managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
What You'll Do
* Act as the central point of contact for assigned projects - managing client communication, stakeholder expectations and key milestones.
* Collaborate with internal teams to define project scope, develop budgets, schedules and risk management plans.
* Monitor progress, address challenges proactively and report on project performance, including financial and HSE metrics.
* Maintain accurate and accessible documentation to ensure project traceability and compliance.
* Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, supporting tender preparation, procurement and cost control.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to maintain quality and safety standards.
* Build strong client relationships and represent Decon with professionalism and accountability.
* Contribute to a culture of safety, innovation and continuous improvement across all project activities.
What You'll Bring
* 3–5 years' experience in project coordination or management within the telecommunications industry (NBN experience highly regarded).
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects, balancing priorities and maintaining profitability.
* Proven understanding of safe work practices and HSE compliance.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal teams alike.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
* High proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
* PMBOK methodology training or qualifications (desired).
