Description New Forests ( ) seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Lead Client Services, Investor Relations.
This new role is critical to support New Forests’ key initiatives related to profitability and business excellence. The role will ensure coordination and execution of best practices with respect to client services, generate efficiencies in reporting and delivery of client services, and systematically seek to drive continuous value for our clients.
The Lead Client Services role will be responsible for implementing and coordinating client support functions for existing clients invested with New Forests across our global platform. Reporting to the Global Head of Investor Relations, this role will work closely with New Forests’ Global Head of Funds Management and finance teams to understand our clients’ needs and to deliver high quality client support services. The role will work to ensure New Forests maintains high-quality investment clients who are provided timely, thoughtful, and accurate information.
You will be a member of the Investor Relations team which oversees capital raising, communications, client relations and reporting for New Forests. The team operates in a fast‐paced environment with a strong focus on high quality, long‐term and transparent investor relationships.
The Lead Client Services role will be responsible for managing both day-to-day client issues as well as more strategic client matters. The role will also oversee quality control and undertake process improvements to ensure high standards and operational excellence are met in the delivery of services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities The Lead Client Services role will be primarily responsible for the following functions:
• Create a value-adding client services platform: This involves having a detailed understanding of clients’ objectives and needs via in-person or virtual meetings, regular engagement throughout the year, and maintaining a close watch of clients’ annual reports and relevant industry news. With this knowledge, you will support New Forests in undertaking activities and engagement that creates deeper strategic alignment with our clients in line with their policies and investment objectives for the purpose of supporting positive long-term relationships.
• Coordination, management, and distribution of quarterly reporting: Coordinate closely with New Forests’ Global Head of Funds Management as well as the finance team, portfolio management teams, and compliance officer to produce and distribute globally consistent quarterly reports, side letter reports, and other special reports to clients. This involves an understanding of content and how fund and asset information should be presented to clients in a compelling manner with foresight related to how to manage problem areas and complex issues. Must have attention to detail and be an effective writer and editor.
• Execution of annual investor meetings: In conjunction with relevant individuals and teams, coordinate and execute annual meetings and investor tours in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Africa and the United States. Manage and contribute to processes related to production of annual meetings content, presentations, delivery, and meeting logistics, with a view to continuously adding value to investors’ experience of the annual meeting and their understanding of the markets in which they are invested and opportunities for further investment with New Forests. This involves overseeing the preparation of the annual meeting presentations based on the narrative put forward by each investment strategy/ portfolio team, working closely with the Global Head of Funds Management and the regional Managing Directors.
• Support global management of client issues: Working closely with the Global Head of Investor Relations and the regional client services team members, oversee management of client issues and communications, including: (i) coordinating processes for important memos and briefing notes to clients across New Forests’ global platform; (ii) ensure approach, messaging, timing and client issues are managed appropriately; (iii) coordinate global client communications where individual clients are invested in more than one of New Forests’ regional strategies; and (iv) coordinate and provide input into timely and thoughtful responses to ad hoc investor queries related to accounting, financial analysis, and asset management, working closely with the Global Head of Funds Management, finance team and portfolio managers as appropriate across New Forests’ global offices.
• Develop efficiencies and improvements in client services and reporting: Work with the Global Head of Funds Management, finance and portfolio management teams to improve internal information management systems and systems/ portals made available to clients to deliver best in class high quality client reporting.
• Supervise staff in execution of client services: The regional client services team members will report to the Lead Client Services. Ensure high quality supervision and professional development of the client services team.
• Some travel internationally as required.

Qualifications, Experience and Strengths We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications, experience, and strengths:
• Excellent project management capability. Exceptional organisational skills related to time management and project management are essential to this role.
• Direct institutional client management experience with a demonstrated capacity for maturity and confidence in managing institutional investors and business relationships in the financial services sector.
• Experience working in alternative assets (e.g., forestry, agriculture, infrastructure, real estate, private equity) and/or impact investing and sustainability (beneficial) and investor reporting standards in those markets.
• Demonstrated capacity for maturity and confidence in managing institutional investor and business relationships in the financial services sector.
• Superior writing and editing skills with ability to conceptualise and understand how to communicate complex information to investors through presentations, briefing notes, investor reports, and other media. Ability and desire to work with other people in New Forests to develop these materials in a timely and high-quality manner.
• Excellent verbal communication. Must have the ability to learn and process large amounts of information quickly and confidently.
• A demonstrated and knowledgeable interest in sustainability and responsible investment.
• Must be a team player and work well under pressure and deadlines.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, liberal arts, or equivalent preferred.
• A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel).
• Experience in investor reporting automation tools and systems
