The Role
As the Production Setter/Fitter, you'll work closely with an experienced operations team ensuring our filling, labelling and packaging lines deliver high quality finished goods for customers. This hands-on mechanical and technical role is focused on setting up and maintaining the production lines to ensure continuous operation to meet planned output volumes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare production lines and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation according to the product specification and quality requirements.
* Action product and machine part changeovers as required including routine maintenance and inspections to identify and resolve any technical issues.
* Responding promptly to breakdowns and urgent repairs to keep production moving and escalate risks, delays, or non-conformances promptly to minimise impact on production outcomes.
* Working collaboratively with the warehouse, manufacturing and production team, coordinate stock inputs to meet deadlines and achieve production targets.
* Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to equipment usage and maintenance.
* Compliance with WHS and internal quality standards across the production facility including general warehouse duties/tasks as required.
* Provide hands-on coaching and on-the-job training to improve production team capability and development.
What You'll Bring:
* The ability to work full time in Australia
* Relevant Australian recognised trade certification, a strong mechanical/engineering aptitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Competency in identifying defects and suggesting improvements to existing plant and equipment, methods and procedures.
* Strong communication skills, computer competence and a team focus.
* Current C Class Drivers' Licence unrestricted & Forklift Licence.
* Previous experience as a Fitter/Setter in an ISO/GMP or food/FMCG production manufacturing environment will be highly regarded.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, a demonstrated commitment to safety and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
