About the role: The Associate Teaching Fellow Medical Sciences will primarily focus on teaching and learning and associated service tasks.
The role will support course teams within the School of Medicine, developing and delivering teaching and learning activities in anatomy and pathology to drive student success.
This position contributes to teaching and learning incorporating innovative educational practices and technologies promoting teaching excellence.
As an Associate Teaching Fellow Medical Sciences, you will: Assist in applying industry, clinical and/or research practice to student learning, success and engagement.
Support curriculum design and deliver research informed teaching across all modes.
Facilitate collaborative learning opportunities and provide mentoring and support to students to foster success.
Foster a culture of educational excellence and teamwork.
Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes.
To be successful, you'll have: A post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or a combination of qualification and experience.
Ability to deliver effective teaching practices to improve student success and engagement.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and pathology and its delivery in an educational setting.
An understanding of the legal and ethical considerations of human tissue collections.
Demonstrated capacity and passion for teaching and facilitation of student learning.
Recent experience teaching adults in a tertiary setting and understanding their learning needs.
