About the role
The Paediatric Physiotherapist is accountable to the Manager, Physiotherapy for the provision of appropriate assessment, treatment, education and health promotion services to neonates, children, adolescents, and their families, which minimises the effects of the presenting disease or disability and maximises functional capacity.
Key duties of the role
* The provision of a comprehensive physiotherapy service to paediatric and neonatal patients
* Contributing to planning processes within physiotherapy and allied health
* Ensuring a high standard of professional conduct is maintained
* Actively participate in quality management, quality assurance and risk management activities and ongoing improvement of physiotherapy services
* Encourage and foster a positive culture and safe working environment
Skills and Experience
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
* Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional and clinical skill development through participation in self-directed learning, reflective practice, and formal professional development activities.
* Ability to work under limited supervision, work under pressure and to demonstrate effective time management.
