Clinical Loading (if eligible)
Level C: $148,771 - $167,785 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
Location: Wollongong Campus, Shoalhaven Campus or Southern Highlands Campus (attendance at the Shoalhaven Campus is required a minimum for one day per week)

About the role

In this teaching intensive role you will play a key role in the leadership, delivery and ongoing development of the Case Based Learning (CBL) curriculum across Phases 1 and 2 of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Working collaboratively with academic and clinical colleagues, you will contribute to curriculum design and review, high quality teaching, assessment and student support initiatives. Through these activities, you will make a significant contribution to fostering deep learning and the integration of the medical sciences across the MD curriculum.

About you

You are a medically qualified academic with eligibility for unconditional registration in NSW and recent clinical experience. You hold a PhD and/or recognised specialist qualifications and bring a strong understanding of inquiry based medical education, including PBL, CBL, and/or TBL. You have demonstrated excellence in teaching across large and small group settings within a university or medical education environment and are committed to supporting student learning and development. You are a collaborative leader with strong communication, organisational, and educational technology skills, and you bring enthusiasm for the mission and curriculum of the Graduate School of Medicine.

Special job requirements

The position holder must maintain unconditional registration as a medical practitioner within NSW and maintain recent professional practice.
The role requires contribution to Case Based Learning (CBL) teaching across the Wollongong, Shoalhaven, and Southern Highlands campuses, including mandatory attendance at the Shoalhaven Campus for a minimum of one (1) day per week if based at Wollongong or Southern Highlands.
