Opportunity to join Townview State School as a Schools Officer, Grounds & Facilities. This is a permanent full-time position.
In this role, you will support the efficient operation and environment of the school by providing grounds and facilities services to the Principal, Business Manager, or their delegate.
About Townview State School Townview State School is celebrating its 60th year, with approximately 200 students from prep to year 6 and 35 staff members. The school offers a safe and nurturing environment for quality learning, guided by its motto 'Knowledge, Tolerance, Integrity', emphasizing the development of every child's potential and social responsibility.
About The Role This is an OO2 classification position, with eligibility for progression to OO3 upon meeting specific criteria. Salary reflects the OO2 to OO3 range.
Responsibilities Perform daily activities such as mail and parcel delivery, message handling, photocopying, classroom preparation, furniture movement, stock management, and equipment recording. Support security duties including maintaining security systems, banking school funds (transport and deposit), and locking/unlocking buildings during core hours. Assist with grounds maintenance such as clearing drains, waste collection, cleaning duties outside normal hours, rubbish removal, and supporting major school events. About You The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining and improving our grounds and facilities. A positive attitude, ability to work independently and in a team, and relevant experience or qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
