We are seeking an experienced and hands-on National Human Resources Manager to lead our HR function across a growing national business.
Reporting to the Director and leading a team of two, this role is both strategic and operational —perfect for someone who can drive HR initiatives while remaining close to the day-to-day needs of the business.
About the Role
As the National HR Manager, you will provide leadership across HR, WHS, and employee engagement, ensuring our people practices align with business goals and company values. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders while supporting the HR team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Strategy
* Lead and execute the national HR strategy aligned to business objectives
* Drive initiatives across engagement, retention, and workforce planning
* Oversee WHS programs, workers compensation, and return-to-work processes
Advisory & Operational Support
* Provide practical HR advice to managers and employees
* Support recruitment, performance management, and employee relations
* Step into operational HR matters when required
Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with Australian employment law and WHS standards
* Manage employee relations risk and maintain HR policies and procedures
Employee Engagement & Development
* Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture
* Lead engagement initiatives, training, and leadership development
* Support succession planning across the business
Reporting & Systems
* Deliver HR and WHS reporting to senior leadership
* Oversee HRIS data integrity and payroll compliance
About You
* 5+ years’ experience in a senior HR leadership role
* Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and WHS legislation
* Proven ability to balance strategy with hands-on delivery
* Excellent communication, influencing, and conflict resolution skills
* Experience working across multi-site or multi-entity environments
* Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or related field
* Experience in retail, construction, or similar industries
