About the Position
You will lead the planning, investigation, and renewal of road infrastructure assets, with a strong focus on asset lifecycle management, condition monitoring, and long-term maintenance strategies. The role also provides technical leadership to the engineering team while supporting asset management systems, data governance, and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning, investigation, and renewal of road infrastructure assets, including lifecycle planning, condition assessments, and renewal programs.
* Manage asset systems and data governance (including GIS and CiA EAM), ensuring accurate data and effective decision‐making support.
* Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, applying asset management principles to road condition monitoring, risk assessment, and works prioritisation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to support asset planning, reporting, and delivery of infrastructure outcomes that meet service standards.
Experience Required
* Experience in local government engineering, with a focus on road infrastructure asset management.
* Strong background in asset lifecycle planning, including condition assessment, renewal programming, and prioritisation.
* Experience with asset management systems, GIS, and enterprise asset data (CiA EAM desirable).
* Civil or road engineering background with application of asset management principles.
* Experience in technical leadership or supervision within an engineering team.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non‐technical audiences.
