Senior Mining Engineer - Underground Gold - Technical Services
We're currently seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join the technical services team with an established underground mining operation.
This is a key leadership role supporting a high-performing underground operation, where you will play an integral part in short- to medium-term planning, optimisation, and production delivery.
The mine operates using Longhole open stoping mining methods.
You'll work closely with Geology, Survey, Geotech, and Operations to drive safe, efficient production outcomes while continuously improving performance and costs.

As Senior Mining Engineer Within Technical Services, You Will
Lead short- and medium-term mine planning and schedulingOversee drill & blast design and optimisationManage stope design and sequencingMonitor production performance and reconcile plansMentor junior engineers and graduatesContribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
This role suits an experienced underground engineer ready to step into broader technical ownership and influence site-wide performance.
What We're Looking For
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering5+ years' experience in underground mining operationsProficiency in Deswik mine planning softwareStrong communicator with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
