Garden Suburb | Travel across the Central Coast, Hunter & New England Regions | Full-time Permanent position
At Uniting, we believe everyone deserves dignity, choice and care as they age. Our places matter. The spaces where people live, rest and receive care should feel safe, welcoming and fit for purpose. That's why we're looking for an experienced Project Manager – Refurbishments to join our Property & Housing Directorate and help bring these environments to life across our Aged Care and Retirement & Independent Living portfolio.
Based at our Garden Suburb Corporate Office, this role requires travel across the Central Coast, Hunter and New England regions of NSW as required. You will deliver refurbishment and minor capital works projects in live operational environments where collaboration, planning and sensitivity are critical.
About the Role
This is an end-to-end project management role responsible for the delivery and close-out of room refurbishments and selected minor capital works projects (typically up to $1M).
You will:
* Manage full project lifecycle: scoping, tender review, contractor engagement, delivery, financial close-out and handover
* Act as the key point of contact for internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants
* Lead WHS compliance and adherence to Uniting's policies and service level agreements
* Conduct audits, monitor KPIs and chair quarterly contractor performance meetings alongside Procurement and Capital Works
* Support governance and reporting processes, including programme tracking and budget updates
* Deliver projects within live aged care and retirement living environments where communication and coordination are essential
This is a people-centred project management role where success is built on relationships, problem-solving and thoughtful delivery in complex settings.
About You
You are a qualified Project Manager who is comfortable navigating multiple stakeholders, competing priorities and operational sensitivities. You bring structure, calm and clarity to projects and pride yourself on delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget.
Essential
* Degree in construction, engineering, architecture or related building discipline
* Project Management qualification (PMBOK, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years' experience delivering refurbishment and/or capital works projects
