Facilities Operations Coordinator
Contribute to the smooth operation of our centre by ensuring the safe and efficient management of facilities, projects, and external contractors.
This role involves overseeing maintenance, repairs, and renovations, as well as coordinating with external teams to ensure timely completion of projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing property, plant, and equipment maintenance, grounds-keeping, and general repairs. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining high-quality standards across all areas.
You will work closely with the Centre Coordinator to identify and manage safety risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, and implement effective health and safety protocols. Effective communication and collaboration are crucial in this role, as you will be working with various stakeholders, including staff, contractors, and external agencies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, particularly in an aquatic or recreational setting, where they have managed capital works, pool water quality, and property, plant, and equipment maintenance. They will possess excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute cleaning, maintenance, and regular inspections.
* Maintain equipment, buildings, and grounds according to the maintenance plan.
* Monitor pool water quality, record results, and manage chemical levels to meet safety regulations.
* Keep accurate records of equipment and report any changes.
* Collaborate with the Centre Coordinator to manage safety risks and develop health and safety protocols.
* Supervise and train staff, ensuring safe chemical handling and adherence to pool safety guidelines.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in an aquatic or recreational setting.
* Strong communication and project management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Demonstrated understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory, and policy obligations related to facility management.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Licences and Certifications:
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
* General Induction Training Card (White Card) or willingness to acquire prior to appointment.
* Queensland Class 'C' QLD Driver's Licence.
