We are seeking a motivated and reliable Handyman/Gardener to join our Tamworth team.
This is a practical and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys the variety, working both indoors and outdoors, and taking pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming hospital environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
About the Position
In this role, you will contribute to the upkeep and presentation of hospital grounds, gardens, and general facilities. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Mowing, whipper snipping, and general gardening
- Maintaining both garden and hospital outdoor areas
- Assisting with general cleaning and upkeep of grounds
- Performing basic maintenance such as hanging pictures, changing fixtures, and assisting trades staff
- Supporting the Engineering Department with minor workshop tasks and general repairs
- Helping ensure a safe, clean, and functional hospital environment
- Full training will be provided, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills across a range of maintenance and gardening tasks.
About You
You’re practical, reliable, and willing to learn. You enjoy hands-on work and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive team. Ideally, you will bring:
- A willingness to learn basic gardening and handyman skills
- A helpful and proactive attitude with flexibility to assist in the workshop
- Ability to work independently while following direction
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
- Previous gardening or handyman experience is valued, but not essential- training will be provided.
