We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.About the roleProvide personalised coaching and mentoring to a team of Disability Support Workers, supporting people with disability within Supported Independent Living homes in Yennora and Minto.The successful candidate will have leadership experience, a strong understanding of disability services, and a commitment to active support and client choice and control. You will be compliance-focused, confident in mentoring others, and experienced in supporting people with intellectual disability, autism, and behaviours of concern.Based in South West Sydney, this is a frontline leadership role that will require the successful candidate to be on site for at least 4 days of the week across two Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes in Yennora and Minto.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team of Disability Support WorkersProvide advice and supervision to DSWsEnsure staff are skilled and knowledgeable in the delivery disability servicesFacilitate and manage a partnership approach with families and supportersManage budgets, compliance, reporting and staff ratios of servicesCollaborate with key stakeholders, ensuring national consistency in delivering a positive serviceManage, monitor, and report on incidents and complaintsParticipate and share the responsibility of an on-call rosterSkills & ExperiencePrevious leadership experienceStrong knowledge of the delivery of services to people with a disabilityDiploma in relevant Social & Community Services or relevant experienceAccess to a reliable vehicleEstablished influencing and negotiation skillsA passion and drive to use your leadership capability to make an impact in the sectorAbility to think creatively and use initiativeStrong written and verbal communication skillsSuccessful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.Join an experienced team, with wrap around support from management and peersAn hourly rate of $43.08 as per Level 4 SCHADS awardAccess to discounts on private health insurance and vehicle servicingUp to $15,900 of your annual salary tax freeWe are an organisation that champions diversity, inclusivity, and equalityHow to ApplyInclude your resume and covering letter in one document, click ‘Apply’ and follow the prompts.
