**About the Role**
As an APS5 Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process by providing policy advice and administrative support. This position offers the opportunity to work independently within a supportive team environment, contributing to complex research, analysis, and decision-making.
- Provide administrative support to the Procurement team, handling confidential information with discretion.
- Offer procurement advice and assistance to internal stakeholders across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and organisation's Procurement Policy and procedures.
- Track and report on value for money outcomes, preparing reports against KPIs.
- Prepare procurement-related documentation, including drafting correspondence and reports.
- Manage data entry, extraction, and manipulation for accurate reporting.
- Contribute to team and branch planning activities, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
**About you**
To thrive in this role, you need:
- Experience in procurement, preferably within a government or corporate setting.
- Sound knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting reports and correspondence.
- Proficiency in data entry and manipulation, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver high-quality work under limited supervision.
- Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
- Must be an **Australian Citizen.
