The successful applicants will be experienced, self-motivated and passionate about the education and care of young children and would like to be part of an organisation that values the wellness, safety and education of children aged 0-5 years.Scallywags Long Day Care provides a high level of education and care and as the Early Childhood Educator you will contribute to making the service a point of difference from other child care providers.The position will work alongside a team of professionals responsible for room management, child health and safety, education and planning and enriching children's lives through play-based learning.ResponsibilitiesSupport room management, child health and safety, education and planning, and enrich children's lives through play-based learning.Collaborate with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.QualificationsCertificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or Working toward the qualificationWorking knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and ability to develop and implement a high-quality educational programWorking knowledge of National Quality Standards, Education and Care Regulations and National LawExperience in a similar role in an Education and Care settingExperience in providing quality educational programs for children aged 0 to 5 yearsAbility to work cooperatively and flexibly within a team environmentWell-developed interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a high-paced environmentCurrent approved First Aid, Emergency Asthma Management and Anaphylaxis Management trainingUnderstanding of the Child Safe StandardsCurrent HLTAID010 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitationCurrent approved Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025)Current paid Working with Children CheckThis position requires a pre-employment health assessment, which includes a functional assessment, hearing screening, and drug and alcohol screening.Salary: $35.37 casual ratePosition Status: Casual & Part-Time OpportunitiesHours of Work: As required, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.Application closing date: This is an open-ended recruitment campaign to expand our casual pool of Educators.
