Newman, WADue to growing demand our client is seeking Heavy Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics / Auto Electrician Technicians to join there hard working and dedicated team.
As Heavy Diesel Fitters / Heavy Diesel Mechanics / Auto Electrician Technicians, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repair.Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter* Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling heavy diesel engines and plant equipment.
* Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel–powered attachments such as pumps and injectors.
* Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
* Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.
* Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
* Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
* Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
* Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
* Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
* Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.Auto Electricians- Install, maintain and repair electric wiring and electronic components on vehicles- Test and diagnose electrical and electronic malfunctions replacing faulty equipment including faulty ignitions, fuses, lamps, switches and electrical wring- Dismantling and installing electrical and electronic components- Connecting equipment (including alternators, generators, starter motors) and accessories to power supply,- Adjusting control systems and timing- Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocolsTo be considered for this role you must have the following attributes:Relevant qualifications (at Cert III) in Engineering – Mechanical/Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Auto electrical Trade or equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Diesel Fitter/ Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Auto electrician.- Repair, service and calibrate components.-Diagnostic Skills-Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.-Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills-Hydraulics/ Pneumatic experience will be highly regardedIf you are motivated and hardworking and enjoy sharing your knowledge to improve operational efficiency, then we want to hear from you.This is a full-time position with an attractive salary-based on experience +superannuation.Please Note only successful candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview.
