Lead Financial Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to lead our finance function, strengthen financial performance, and provide strategic insight to support business growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise will directly influence the success of our projects and operations.

* Manage the organisation's finance function, ensuring strong internal controls and accurate, timely reporting.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with project managers and the leadership team.
* Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly BAS submissions.
* Manage annual audit, insurance renewals, and compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
* Provide financial analysis and advice to support decision-making and growth opportunities.
* Foster a high-performing, professional finance team through leadership, coaching, and development.


Key Responsibilities:


Finance Leadership

Manage the organisation's finance function, ensuring strong internal controls and accurate, timely reporting. Collaborate with project managers and the leadership team to achieve business objectives.


Budgeting and Forecasting

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to drive business growth and inform strategic decisions.


Payroll and Compliance

Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly BAS submissions to ensure timely and accurate payments.


Audit and Compliance

Manage annual audit, insurance renewals, and compliance with all financial regulations and standards to maintain a strong reputation and mitigate risk.


Team Development

Foster a high-performing, professional finance team through leadership, coaching, and development to drive business success.


Requirements:

* CPA or CA qualification (essential).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior financial management role.
* Proven financial leadership, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency across Microsoft Office 365.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in the construction or electrical contracting industry.
* Knowledge of project-based financial management.
