About the role
As the Caravan Manufacturing Production Supervisor at Austrack Campers', you will play a key role in overseeing the efficient and high-quality production of our premium caravans. This full-time position is based in our Pakenham, Victoria manufacturing facility and will involve leading a team of skilled production staff to ensure our products meet the exacting standards of our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the caravan production line to meet targets and deadlines
* Lead, coach and motivate a team of production staff to optimise workflow and product quality
* Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
* Liaise with the engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve any production issues
* Ensure all production activities adhere to relevant safety and quality standards
* Contribute to the development of manufacturing strategies and process improvements
* Provide regular performance updates and reporting to senior management
What we're looking for
* 2+ years of experience in a production supervisory role, ideally within the manufacturing or automotive industries
* Strong background in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
* Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
* Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills to address production challenges
* Working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and quality assurance processes
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
* Relevant qualifications in production management, engineering or a similar discipline
