This role is based initially in Orroroo, with site locations changing over time. All work is in rural and remote locations, and the role involves significant travel and working away from home. This is a hands‑on role combining plant operation and labouring, ideal for someone who enjoys remote work, long hours, and working as part of a small, reliable crew. Roster & Hours 21 days on / 7 days off (no alternative rosters available) 10–12 hour days Key Responsibilities Depending on site requirements, duties may include: Rod, Rope & Hauling operations – hauling multiple cables by hand and machinery, conducting quality checks Civil works – repairing blockages and infrastructure Operating plant and equipment such as: Excavators Dozers Vacuum trucks Winches Mobile cranes HR trucks General labouring duties, including: Cutting and repairing fences Excavation using hand and mechanical methods About You You will be a good fit if you: Have a strong work ethic and are easy‑going and team‑oriented Are comfortable working independently in remote environments Can handle hot weather, flies, and rugged terrain Are happy to perform a mix of operating and labouring tasks Are reliable and able to commit to the full roster Mandatory Requirements Excavator VOC Proven dozer and/or excavator operating experience Experience and willingness to drive trucks and machinery as required Experience and willingness to assist with labouring duties White Card Pay, Allowances & Conditions $33–$35 per hour (depending on experience) Applicable overtime and penalty rates Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA): $280 per day if finding own accommodation $120 per day if site books accommodation Accommodation is very remote and may include shearers’ quarters or local town pubs Travel time and costs are NOT paid As a leading provider of temporary workforce we value all our employees and offer a weekly payrun, a commitment to working with our clients for safe working environments and consultants that care.
