Job Title: Technical Assistant
The primary objective of the Technical Assistant role is to provide technical support to Medical Officers and Registered Nurses in various procedures, including venepuncture, cannulation, ECG recording, arterial blood gas sampling, point-of-care testing, and plaster of Paris splinting.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Effectively utilise resources to ensure efficient workflow.
* Uphold the Emergency Department's core values.
* Support patients and their families through basic care needs.
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all Hospital matters.
* Participate in and support the Hospital's Quality Improvement program.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Venepuncture and/or cannulation qualifications and/or experience are essential for this role.
* Demonstrated communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are required.
* Previous work experience in the health service/hospital environment is highly desirable.
* Able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and during periods of high demand and activity.
