About the Role
We have multiple opportunities for skilled professionals to join our maternity ward at Ballarat. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality pregnancy, birth and postnatal care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care with support from senior staff as needed.
* Promote effective communication and facilitate teamwork within the ward and hospital.
* Provide patient education and act as a resource where necessary.
* Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring new team members.
* Contribute to the achievement of operational objectives for the hospital and clinical services.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered/Nurse Midwife.
* A demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction.
* Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
* The ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team.
* A commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
