An innovative and developing business, Aurora Construction Materials is one of Victoria's leading producers of concrete, crushed rock and aggregates and using predominantly upcycled materials. An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Concrete Plant Production Officer to become an integral part of our team.
Based in Melbourne's North (Beveridge), the position will be responsible for delivering performance and customer satisfaction within our concrete business at our BRAND NEW Beveridge Concrete Plant. As a foundation team member of this brand new facility, you'll have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the way it operates as we go through the commissioning process, and then enjoy seeing your hard work serve the local community via great concrete.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Concrete Plant Manager, our Concrete Plant Production Officers are critical members of our concrete batching plants, responsible for operating and improving the use of our fixed assets (batching plant) and mobile assets (front end loaders).
Key Responsibilities:
* 50% Core concrete batching activities such as:
o Batching concrete loads to agitator trucks.
o Operating a small front end loader to fill plant product bins with sand and stone
* 50% Secondary plant coordination activities such as:
o Housekeeping duties
o Raising and reviewing permits for maintenance work
o Greasing and lubrication of machinery
o Cash processing
Who you are
You're a team player, willing to coach and share knowledge with our Concrete production and logistics teams. You're not afraid to use initiative and make good, effective decisions. You are approachable and calm under pressure.
Experience in a similar role is desirable. Strong facilitation, front end loader ticket and computer literacy skills are also required.
Please note that this role may involve regular early morning starts, late finishes, and regular Saturday shifts (usually half days).
