Overview
Centre Manager to join the School of Chemistry and Physics, Faculty of Science. The Centre Manager provides leadership and management of the Centre's core operational activities, working closely with the Directors and other senior leaders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Centre's vision and objectives. The position has operational responsibility for the Centre's budget and collaborates with share services staff across the Faculty and University to execute the effective operations of the Centre. Hybrid option available.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Centre's operations, including delivery of administrative services and project support.
* Oversee external engagement activities and maintain relationships with external organisations.
* Manage the Centre's budget (operating and discretionary budgets) in collaboration with shared services staff.
* Work with Directors and senior leaders to advance the Centre's vision and objectives.
Qualifications
* Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics and/or Engineering.
* Demonstrated ability to build successful partnerships and provide positive leadership across an organisation.
* Experience in planning and delivering events, including strategy, logistics, invitations, program curation, and vendor coordination.
* High level written communication skills for clear reports and complex correspondence using digital technologies.
* Financial management and budgeting experience with strong analytical and research skills.
* Strong time management skills and ability to meet competing deadlines without compromising quality.
Position Details
* Term: Fixed-term, full-time basis for two (2) years
* Remuneration: $138,193 to $156,633 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $116,774 to $132,357 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
* Location: Gardens Point (hybrid option available)
