About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Future Energy Lead to join our energy team in Adelaide or Melbourne. The successful candidate will work alongside the Future Energy Solutions team, focused on the development, delivery and connection of utility scale power generating assets, both conventional and renewable technology, for key clients, on projects across Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with key clients across South Australia and Victoria, including opportunity development;
* Manage project-related design deliverables, such as single line diagrams, protection studies, earthing reports, harmonics assessments, load flows and similar concept and detailed design deliverables;
* Develop construction work packs, scopes of work and related deliverables and support procurement processes for equipment and services;
* Review detailed design documents prepared by subcontractors and equipment suppliers for completeness and compliance to Australian Standards;
* Prepare and submit generator connection documentation to the NSP and AEMO for renewable and conventional energy plant, including management of a modelling consultant/partner;
* Participate and engage with clients and support project delivery, where required;
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering recognised in Australia, preferably with Chartered Engineer status;
* Lead the development and delivery of NEM connected power generation projects in Australia;
* Worked in NSP organisations or has experience delivering technical requirements for NSPs;
* Experience in generator connection in the NEM for either renewable or conventional projects;
* Sound understanding of Australian industry codes and standards, particularly the National Electricity Rules (NER);
* Experience in leading a team that manages details design and execution of power generation projects;
* Exceptional oral and written communication skills;
* Strong commitment to client satisfaction;
* A high commitment to workplace health and safety and the use of safe work systems;
