Hays is looking for an experienced HR professional to join our client's dynamic team supporting over 700 personnel in a true HR Generalist role.
Your new role
As our client's site based HR Advisor, you'll deliver end-to-end HR services across recruitment, employee relations, workforce planning, and engagement initiatives. This is a FIFO position from Darwin | 9-day fortnight (5/2, 4/3).
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruitment across diverse operational roles
Partner with leaders to align workforce strategies with business goals
Provide HR reporting, metrics, and insights to support decision-making
Advise on industrial relations matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and enterprise agreements
Lead investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
Drive employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing initiatives
Process contract variations and employment changes accurately and on time
Support training delivery and capability development
Build strong relationships across departments to influence positive outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
HR qualifications (Diploma or higher)
Experience in mining, construction or heavy industry (desirable)
Strong knowledge of IR, EA compliance & Australian employment law
Confidence managing complex HR cases and partnering with leaders
