Full-Time Payroll Officer - Cannon Hill
Our client is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Payroll Officer to join their team located in Cannon Hill.
This position will suit a professional and experienced Payroll Officer who is driven and has the ability to communicate across all levels of the business; or a university/TAFE student studying accounting, commerce or other related course or you, if you think you have all the skills to meet the duties below.
Your duties and area of responsibility will include:
* Processing timesheet data from Kronos/UKG, and ADP payroll on a weekly basis including preparing and reviewing payroll reconciliation and procedures.
* Ensuring new employee and status changes are entered correctly and processing leave and termination payments
* Ensuring that pays are calculated accurately, and superannuation, tax withholdings and other allowances are correctly applied for award, above award and salaried employees
* Preparing and submitting payroll tax, PAYG, workers' compensation, long service leave, wage subsidies and other compliance returns
* Responding promptly to payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders including requests for cashing out annual leave, back pay and general pay queries
* Interpreting awards and other industrial relations legislation as they relate to payroll
