Remote Hospital Social Worker Opportunity
This role presents a rewarding chance to provide high-level social work services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations in a remote hospital setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing crisis intervention and short-term support to patients in the Emergency Department, assessing and managing domestic and family violence risk, developing safety plans, and supporting victims. Additionally, they will work with child protection concerns, including mandatory reporting and liaison with relevant agencies.
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and experience in domestic and family violence risk assessment, safety planning, and support services. They should also be eligible for AASW membership and have their qualifications assessed by the AASW before applying.
Requirements:
* Experience providing social work services within a hospital setting (Emergency Department)
* Strong knowledge and experience in domestic and family violence risk assessment, safety planning, and support services
* Experience working with child protection concerns, including mandatory reporting and liaison with relevant agencies
* Driving license required for this role
