Position: Registered Nurse
Location: Aged Care Facility
EFT/Hours: 0.8 EFT (32 Hours Per Fortnight)
Status: Permanent Part Time (x2 Positions)
Salary/ Hourly rate: Competitive plus 12% superannuation
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our aged care team in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes for residents.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised nursing care in accordance with current professional standards and best practice guidelines.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide person-centred care to residents, promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life
* Assess and develop comprehensive care plans, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
* Conduct thorough risk assessments, identifying potential threats to resident safety and developing strategies to mitigate risks
* Collaborate with Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers to deliver high-quality care and support services
* Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with residents and their families
* Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records systems
