Job Overview
This Senior Project Officer role will be attached to a major program and requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, collaborative teamwork, and proactive flexibility.
The ideal candidate should possess at least 3 years of proven experience in program operations and delivery in facilities and/or asset management, working knowledge and experience in construction, building surveying, facilities, and/or asset management industries, and considerable demonstrated experience in similar roles within government.
Key responsibilities include managing a service provider, providing strategic advice, establishing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, prioritizing and problem-solving using governance processes, and building stakeholder confidence in program implementation.
Requirements
The successful candidate must learn and adhere to government policies, procurement, and financial reporting processes, and have effective people management and team development capabilities.
Position requirements include working 3 days per week in the office and 2 remote days, participating in shift work, and occasionally traveling to school sites during operating hours.
