XE Associate Business Development Executive (SDR3)

About the Role

The Associate Business Development Executive is a senior Sales Development role focused on creating high‐quality, high‐value opportunities for Xe's Corporate Sales team. This role represents the progression from structured qualification into strategic opportunity shaping and deal context development.

You will engage senior finance stakeholders, lead deeper discovery conversations, and work closely with Business Development Managers to ensure opportunities are well‐qualified, commercially sound, and aligned to Xe's FX and risk management capabilities.

Your Mission

Create fewer but higher‐value opportunities by deeply understanding how corporate prospects manage FX, payments and risk, and positioning Xe as a strategic partner.

What You'll Do

* Lead advanced discovery conversations with senior finance stakeholders
* Assess FX volumes, currency pairs, provider landscape and hedging approach
* Expand into our other offerings, gaining interest in areas such as VIBANS, MCA's and ERP/API.
* Identify risk management, credit and structural solution opportunities
* Ensure opportunities are meeting ready with clear use cases and stakeholders identified
* Provide structured opportunity handovers and join BDM meetings where appropriate
* Act as a role model and mentor for SDR1 and SDR2 colleagues

What You'll Bring

* Proven experience in an SDR, BDR or inside sales role within a B2B environment
* Confidence engaging business owners, CFOs and senior finance leaders
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to prioritise high‐value opportunities
* Solid understanding of FX, international payments and/or financial services concepts
* High ownership, discipline and collaboration skills

How Success Is Measured

* Quality and value of opportunities delivered to BDMs
* Conversion of sourced opportunities to first trades
* Average potential deal size and deal complexity
* Feedback from BDMs on opportunity readiness and handover quality

This role is a direct steppingstone into BDM 1 – Business Development Executive, with readiness demonstrated through opportunity quality, commercial judgement and stakeholder engagement capability.
