This full-time Specialist position primarily focuses on clinical services, with opportunities to engage in academic and teaching activities in collaboration with Deakin University. The university's Medical School has a Rural Clinical School based in the town.
The hospital is a fully integrated facility with 282 beds (216 acute, 36 aged care, 30 mental health). Warrnambool Campus (212 beds) provides acute, rehabilitation, and mental health care, along with outpatient and community services. Wards include medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, a six-bed critical care unit, dialysis, emergency, inpatient psychiatry, GEM, and rehabilitation.
